Operations Manager
We’re looking for a Operations Manager for a standout, locally-owned fabrication company!
About Us: We are a kinetic, trade workroom partner in the window treatment and textile niche focused on quality, collaboration, and exemplary customer service.
What You'll Do: Add efficiency and strong leadership skills to a highly successful, female-owned small business, while overseeing a team of excellent fabricators and project managers in our creative niche!
Schedule: 8-4pm, M-F. 100% onsite at our South Boston workroom.
Compensation: $90-100k, experience dependent

A Day as our Operations Manager:
- People Management: Act as a people manager of project managers. Oversee schedule of work and approve time off requests from staff. Answer staff’s questions on a daily onsite basis.
- Process and Time Management: Assist with scheduling on behalf of ownership and oversee fabrication schedules. Act as a manager of each project manager’s projects at a high level, gaining oversight through use of Airtable and ensuring all projects meet tight timeline expectations. Enforce process, innovating for efficiency where needed.
- Facilities/Business Management: Provide safety support, facilities management or utility management. Maintain a presence on the workroom floor to observe and increase efficiency. Review and initiate payroll and account payments.
Additional Goals and Responsibilities for the Operations Manager:
- Provide reviews, onboarding and training, managing time tracking, oversee project delivery timeline, job costing and time tracking analysis, setup tech, managing office inventory.
- Manage productivity and provide feedback to teams, with a focus on strategies, process improvement and future innovations.
- Improve project/customer lead times and clean install rate.
Qualified Operations Manager Applicants Have:
- 7+ years of process and people management experience
- 4+ years experience hiring, onboarding, and training staff
- A natural gift for leadership, including the soft skills that need to accompany an assertive problem solving mindset.
- Are adept with technology and efficiencies in tooling, such as CRMs, PM systems, HRIS systems, Quickbooks, and process flow/innovation.
- Have experience in the HR/people side of operations, as well as facilities management.
- Have former experience in project management.
Ideal Director of Operations candidates Have:
- Experience in fabrication or the window treatment niche or a demonstrated track record of shifting industries or niches.
- Are former project managers and/or people managers in the interior design space.
