Are you an experienced fabricator with a passion for craftsmanship, leadership, and the details that make a space extraordinary?

We’re seeking a Lead Seamstress to oversee and contribute to the production of high-end custom window coverings. This is a key leadership role for someone who values precision, collaboration, and creative problem-solving.

Location: Woodstock, GA 30188 - Full-Time 100% on-site

What You’ll Do:

  • Interpret detailed work orders and collaborate with design and sales teams to bring each vision to life
  • Measure and cut fabric with precision, ensuring perfect pattern alignment and seam placement
  • Operate industrial sewing machines, sergers, and hand tools to produce exceptional Roman shades, drapery, valances, cornices, and more
  • Assemble, inspect, and package finished products, ensuring top-tier quality in every order
  • Update Airtable with real-time progress, material use, and production status
  • Educate and support team members with hands-on training and technical oversight
  • Stay informed on industry trends, tools, and fabrication technique
  • Supervise day-to-day production and coordinate team activities to meet deadline
  • Manage inventory of fabrics, linings, hardware, and supplies, replenishing when needed
  • Troubleshoot fabrication challenges in collaboration with stylists or during offsite visits
  • Lead and contribute to weekly team meetings focused on workflow and quality
  • Provide training, mentorship, and feedback to seamstresses and production staff
  • Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure safety and performance
  • Recommend and implement workflow improvements for better efficiency and output
  • Oversee compliance with all safety standards in the workroom

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ideal candidates have 1-5 years of experience working in custom window treatment fabrication (or a similar product/process)
  • Mastery of measuring, cutting, sewing, and assembling myriad and delicate materials with fine attention to detail, including hand sewing
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift 30-60lbs
  • Past experience with industrial sewing machines
  • Past experience with project or people management
Bonus Points For:
  • Prior experience in a lead role 
  • Prior training and/or people management experience 
  • Previous window treatment and/or workroom experience
