We’re looking for an Operations Management Pro for a standout Boston fabrication company in the window treatment niche focused on quality, collaboration, and exemplary customer service. If you’re looking to add efficiency to a business and oversee a team of excellent project managers in a creative niche, this one’s for you! 

Schedule: 8-5pm, M-F onsite at our South Boston workroom. 

Compensation: Offer range of  $75-90, experience dependent

A Day in the Life: 

  • Assist with scheduling on behalf of ownership and oversee fabrication schedules. 
  • Act as a people manager of project managers. 
  • Act as a manager of each project manager’s projects at a high level,, gaining oversight through use of Airtable and ensuring all projects meet tight timeline expectations. 
  • Act as a high level account manager with manufacturers. 
  • Maintain a presence on the workroom floor to observe and increase efficiency.
  • Oversee schedule of work and approve time off requests from staff. 
  • Answer staff’s questions on a daily onsite basis. 
  • Review payroll
  • Enforce process
  • Pay bills or write checks
  • Provide safety support, facilities management or utility management 
  • Eventually be first touchpoint for end users and partners

Additional Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide reviews, onboarding and training, managing time tracking, oversee project delivery timeline, job costing and time tracking analysis, setup tech, managing office inventory?
  • Manage productivity and provide feedback to teams, with an eye on process improvement and future innovations. 
  • Improve lead times and clean install rate. 

Qualified Applicants Have:

  • A thirst for efficiency and a go-to, figure-it-out factor. 
  • A natural gift for leadership, including the soft skills that need to accompany an assertive problem solving mindset. 
  • Agility with airtable and quickbooks and a desire to add other tech and tooling innovations for efficiency and boosts in people operations
  • Experience in people operations, facilities management, and HR. 
  • Experience in fabrication or the window treatment niche is a plus. 
  • Priority will be given to former project managers or managers of project managers in the design space.
